“This door is locked after 1730 hr.” is the message that greets you on the inside of the copy room, something you don’t normally catch unless the door is closed.
Mind you, it was way passed 1730 as it was in-fact the morning, but that thought never crossed my mind the entire time I’ve been here.
So I ended up getting myself locked inside the copy room, knocking and fidgeting with the door frantically, doing my best to open it on my own.
Even though the building was bustling with people, I dared not shout to the top of my lungs for help. The very idea of that was pretty embarrassing. But I took to twitter to document my plight thinking I could probably get help that way.
I was in there for (probably) 41 minutes until a classmate showed up with her own work to do.
The only thing I had to do was walk through the other door and set off an alarm to be free. But the fact that I didn’t want to do that, I was afraid of being embarrassed.
In the end it really didn’t stop the alarm from going off anyway:
I suppose this would have been a completely different story to tell if I was locked in there late at night!
At least I now know that the door is probably going to be locked all the time (at least in the off season of school.)
