A strip of a beginning

newsgetter01The original idea I had for this website wasn’t so much about telling the internet children ‘what for’ but as an excuse to draw comics again.

Newsgetter press, was about a tiny little newsroom, aspiring to write about the events of the day to the younger demographic. It would be topical to a long winded blog post attempting to explain what the strip was event about.

As much as I enjoyed the idea, I didn’t feel like I could muster up enough enthusiasm to keep drawing even if the plan was a two strip a week basis, so the whole thing was put on the back-burner, and idealoclast existed instead.

Now that I’m going to journalism full time, it’s almost igniting an extension of my original idea.

I stood up in the middle of the meeting and promptly declared that I, and one other person, are artists. Which is great and hopefully I have this opportunity to be creative while working on the school paper.

If anything, I hope it even changes things up around here.

A new year after all, is a time to try things differently.

I have some ideas to tackle, and I plan to get them done. For one, a podcast idea has been talked between some friends, and in the event of a go ahead, may see some light in the summer (being at school full-time kind of puts big projects on hold).

It’s a small sign of things to come, but a sign nonetheless. I would like to attempt newsgetter this year, as well.

If there’s anything you’ve read or watched in 2014 on this site that you want to see more of, please let me know in the comments. Drop an email down as well. I have been proud of everything I’ve put up, and would love to continue. But it’s hard to keep track when you do a lot of stuff.

Such is the modern folk of encouraging use of my patreon. The modern donation box, that can help make things better and easier and follow the path that I want to pursue.

here’s to a year of seeing where it takes us.
